For Workdiamond, 1980 represents not only the year it was founded, but the beginning of an ongoing commitment to professionals who demand durability, safety and consistent quality. Over more than 46 years in business, knowledge of materials has become a body of technical expertise. Observing how different surfaces and thicknesses respond, understanding tool behaviour and adjusting its configuration are steps rooted in day-to-day experience and dialogue with those working in the field. On this foundation, Workdiamond continues a focused, carefully developed process of renewal.

A CULTURE BUILT ON EXPERIENCE

Innovation does not simply follow change; it begins by listening to the market, through first-hand knowledge of machining processes and the search for solutions that can adapt to real needs. In the stone industry, where every application demands a balance of speed and finish, experience becomes a technical factor even before it becomes a historical asset.

MARMOMAC: TECHNOLOGY ON DISPLAY

Workdiamond has maintained a continuous presence at Marmomac over the years, turning the event into a regular opportunity to meet industry professionals, identify emerging needs and show-case the evolution of solutions for stone processing. In the early editions, Workdiamond’s participation had a pioneering character: the stands displayed not only tools manufactured in-house, but even the machinery used to make them. It was the most direct way to demonstrate the craftsmanship behind diamond blade production and engage with the people who used them every day.

RESEARCH, EXPERIENCE, QUALITY: ONE METHOD

Diamond lies at the heart of a complex technology. Its effectiveness depends not only on hardness, but on the balance between the quality and distribution of diamond grit, the composition of bonding agents, segment geometry, the characteristics of the core and the tool’s overall stability. Workdiamond’s research focuses on these elements to address traditional materials and next-generation surfaces. Quality, in turn, comes from controlling the critical stages: design, assembly, inspections and performance testing.

Made in Italy production, in-house testing, traceability through an indelible code, and compliance with EN 13236 form a system that combines craftsmanship, industrial organisation and responsibility towards the user. Innovation therefore means developing more efficient segments, more stable cores and geometries that promote material evacuation. Every improvement must serve a precise objective: improve the finish, reduce vibration and chipping, or make processing safer and more productive.

EVOLUTION THROUGH DIAMOND TOOLS

Workdiamond’s range supports every stage of processing: from cutting to drilling, from shaping to grinding, through to finishing operations. Diamond blades, drill bits, core bits, grinding wheels and special tools are developed according to the material, the machinery used and the required result. Every tool is born from the combination of experience, continuous research and in-depth knowledge of real working conditions. In the construction & plumbing sector, Workdiamond tools handle complex materials such as porcelain stoneware, reinforced concrete, brick and more, delivering precise, clean and burr-free cuts and holes even in the most demanding conditions.

For core drilling, solutions combine power and precision: 2,000 W and 3,500 W three-speed core drills delivering pure power, entirely designed and manufactured in Italy, together with core bits engineered to work in perfect synergy. Dry micro-percussion technology enables rapid core drilling without water, reducing time, mess and waste and simplifying work on site without compromising the quality of the final result. Made in Italy not merely as a label, but as a method. From design to final testing, every stage of the process is managed in-house, with rigorous inspections and traceability systems that guarantee quality, safety and durability.

For today’s professional, Workdiamond is not merely a supplier, but a strategic partner that evolves with the market, carrying Italian quality forward over time and around the world.

Through our social channels, we share the design thinking behind every product, helping professionals quickly and effectively identify the solution best suited to their operational needs.

A SPECIFIC SOLUTION FOR EVERY MATERIAL

Every application places different demands on a tool and requires a specific combination of geometry, composition and material-removal capacity. The variety of tools therefore reflects knowledge built over time: not generic products, but purpose-designed solutions organised by performance level and intended for precise professional applications. A selection of the most popular products shows how design changes according to the surface. For marble, the “PM7-S” prioritises smooth cutting and a high-quality finish, respecting the material’s delicacy and elegance.

For porcelain stoneware, the “WF1” is designed to achieve clean edges and reduce chipping even on the hardest slabs. When the challenge is quartzite, the “QL15-Q” combines advanced technology, high performance and durability. For ceramic composites and ultra-compact materials, the “WR46” puts precision, stability and safety first, including when cutting Dekton®. The new “Workcup”, introduced in 2025, applies the same principle through a reinforced flanged core and thinner segments to optimise speed and stability. The Marble, Granite and Composites catalogue organises the range by material family and level of use.

The Premium, Professional, Standard and Special lines offer a choice between maximum performance in intensive work and a balance of speed and durability, reliability for general applications, and special configurations with geometric diamond distribution. The result is a portfolio built around real-world processing, not a one-size-fits-all solution.

PERFORMANCE DESIGNED WITH OPERATOR COMFORT IN MIND

Research also focuses on reducing noise and vibration. The SDW and STL core configurations have been specifically designed to improve comfort during operation: the SDW version uses a noise-reducing sandwich core, while the STL features specific laser cuts that help limit vibration and noise.

THE PRODUCT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF THE SERVICE

Workdiamond maintains in-house expertise in regrinding, repair, welding, reconditioning and tensioning of diamond tools, with stated delivery times of 48-72 hours nationwide. This service model extends the value of the tool and provides operational continuity for workshops, distributors and professionals. Marble, granite and composites continue to evolve: thicknesses, formats, surfaces and finish expectations change. The company responds with the same approach that has guided its growth: observe, experiment, control and improve.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

Every material presents a new challenge, every process requires a specific solution, and every tool embodies a wealth of experience directed towards the future. This is the most tangible meaning of Workdiamond’s diamond culture: bringing together research, innovation and expertise to support professionals at every stage of processing, from the first cut to the final finish.
