From 10 to 13 November 2026, IFEMA Madrid will once again host Construtec, the International Exhibition of construction materials, techniques and solutions. Now in its latest biennial edition, the fair has established itself as the most important meeting point for the building industry in Southern Europe, drawing professionals from across Spain and around the world to the Spanish capital for four days of business, knowledge exchange and innovation. Construtec 2026 is set to cover approximately 42,000 square metres of exhibition space at IFEMA’s state-of-the-art facilities at Avenida del Partenón 5, in the north-east of Madrid. With more than 30 years of history behind it, the fair attracts developers, construction companies, workshops, installers, architectural studios, engineering firms, and specifiers, all looking for a competitive edge in an industry undergoing rapid transformation. Around 16% of visitors are expected to come from abroad, underlining the event’s growing international reach.

PART OF THE SEMANA INTERNACIONAL DE LA CONSTRUCCION

Construtec does not stand alone. It forms the centrepiece of the Semana Internacional de la Construcción (International Construction Week), a broader event that unites several specialized trade fairs under one roof at IFEMA Madrid during the same dates. Running alongside Construtec are:

  • VETECO, the International Exhibition for Window, Façade, and Solar Protection Systems;
  • SMART DOORS, the premier international exhibition dedicated to intelligent door systems, automated access, security, and IoT-connected entryways;
  • PISCIMAD, the trade fair focused on swimming pools, water treatment, and aquatic installations.

Together, these four events create a comprehensive platform covering the entire building value chain, from raw materials and structural systems to windows, doors, and outdoor spaces. The combined format allows visitors to attend multiple shows with a single registration and provides exhibitors with access to a far broader audience than any single fair could offer.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT CONSTRUTEC 2026

The exhibition floor will showcase the very latest in construction systems, industrialisation, BIM (Building Information Modelling), digital solutions, efficient materials, and technologies applied to the sector. Visitors will be able to explore products and services spanning a wide range of categories, including:

  • Building materials and systems – from structural elements to insulation, waterproofing, and façade technologies;
  • Eco-friendly and sustainable materials, including low-carbon products and bio-based solutions;
  • Digital construction technologies, BIM software, construction site management tools, and Industry 4.0 applications;
  • Energy-efficient systems and solar energy solutions;
  • Plumbing, sanitary equipment, and air conditioning;
  • Architecture in stone and natural elements for modern design.

Over 500 exhibitors are expected to participate, presenting innovations and solutions in a strategically organised exhibition layout that allows visitors to navigate each product area efficiently. The fair’s dedicated demonstration areas will enable professionals to evaluate products and technologies first-hand, providing a direct connection between suppliers and buyers that trade catalogues simply cannot replicate.

KNOWLEDGE, CONGRESS AND PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMME

Beyond the exhibition floor, Construtec 2026 will host a rich programme of more than 100 activities, technical conferences, and specialised forums over the four days. The Construtec Congress will bring together leading voices from the industry to address the most pressing issues facing construction today, with a particular focus on three strategic pillars: sustainability, energy efficiency, and industrialised building models. Digitalization will be a prominent theme throughout, reflecting the growing importance of BIM methodology in transforming how buildings are designed, built and managed. Presentations and workshops will explore how cutting-edge technologies - from artificial intelligence to parametric design and digital twin platforms - are reshaping every stage of the construction lifecycle.

New commercial models, off-site construction techniques, and the role of the circular economy in reducing waste and environmental impact will also feature prominently on the agenda.

WHY ATTEND AND WHY EXHIBIT

For professionals, Construtec offers a unique opportunity to expand their network by discovering new suppliers, strengthening existing relationships, and opening new commercial horizons. The fair’s LiveConnect networking platform further facilitates targeted business meetings between exhibitors and buyers before and during the event, maximising the value of every visit. For companies, exhibiting at Construtec remains one of the most cost-effective ways to reach the full spectrum of construction professionals in the Iberian market and, increasingly, across Europe and beyond. The 2024 edition delivered strong results for participants, with thousands of professional visitors from dozens of countries.

The 2026 edition is expected to build on that momentum, with renewed interest in the Spanish construction market driven by major infrastructure programmes, housing demand, and European green transition funding. Professional visitor registration and exhibitor enquiries are available through the official fair website at www.ifema.es/en/construtec. Early registration is recommended, as the event consistently attracts high volumes of professional attendees.
