The global meeting point of the natural stone industry. Marble Izmir, to take place on April 14-17, 2026
One of the world’s largest trade fairs in its sector and the gateway of Turkish natural stone to global markets, Marble İzmir - International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair, is preparing to open its doors for the 31st time at Fuarİzmir between April 14-17, 2026. Hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ, Marble İzmir will once again bring together industry professionals from all over the world in İzmir. Having become a strong global brand over the years, Marble İzmir will once again stand out in 2026 as one of the most important meeting points not only for Türkiye but also for the global natural stone industry. With its exhibitor profile, diversity of visitors and the scale of its exhibition area, the fair continues to closely follow the sector, aiming to further enhance international interaction in 2026.
The previous edition of the fair, the 30th Marble İzmir, once again demonstrated the event’s strong international reach and sectoral impact. The fair hosted a total of 68,975 visitors, including 8,277 international visitors from 121 different countries. In total, 1,014 exhibiting companies participated, 141 of which were international exhibitors representing 20 countries. Organized across an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters, Marble İzmir ranked among the largest natural stone fairs worldwide, bringing together natural stone producers, exporters, architects, designers, machinery manufacturers, contractors, project developers and mining sector representatives.

As global competition in the natural stone and marble market continues to intensify, the sector maintains its strong position within the construction, architecture and interior design industries. Current international assessments indicate that the global natural stone market has reached a size of approximately 40-45 billion dollars, driven by ongoing construction activity, infrastructure investments and increasing demand for value-added architectural applications. In parallel with market growth, sector trends are increasingly shaped by a focus on sustainability, efficiency and design. Environmentally responsible quarrying practices, recycling systems and energy-efficient processing technologies are gaining prominence, while demand for customized, design-oriented and high value-added natural stone products continues to rise across global markets.
Within this context, Marble İzmir’s contribution to the sector is further reinforced by Türkiye’s strong resource base. In addition to its production and export capacity, Türkiye holds a significant share of the world’s natural stone reserves, supporting long-term supply continuity and product diversity. This structural strength enhances Marble İzmir’s role as a reliable international meeting point, enabling exhibiting companies from many different countries to establish direct contact with international buyers, investors and technology providers, develop global partnerships and access new markets.
ONGOING PROMOTION EFFORTS WORLDWIDE
Promotional, networking and cooperation efforts aim to attract a greater number of international participants and visitors. Within the scope of activities carried out across various markets worldwide, the objective is to strengthen Marble İzmir’s international visibility and increase professional interest in the fair. Companies from many countries - ranging from Italy to the USA, from India to China and Iran, and from Portugal to Poland - are expected to participate.
BUYER DELEGATIONS, B2B MEETINGS AND DESIGN COMPETITION
In 2026, buyer delegations from various countries will once again visit İzmir within the scope of Marble İzmir. B2B meetings held during the fair will provide participating companies with opportunities to enter new markets and expand their exports. The fair will also host the 8th International Novel Natural Stone Design Competition, aiming to introduce young designers to the sector and bring an innovative vision to natural stone.
MARBLE IZMIR WILL CONNECT NATURAL STONE WITH URBAN CULTURE
Extending its scope beyond the exhibition grounds, Marble İzmir will integrate natural stone into the cultural and public life of the city. In this context, a Sculpture Workshop will be held at FuarIzmir between March 15 and April 8, 2026, aiming to increase the visibility of natural stone in urban life. The workshop will highlight İzmir’s identity as a marble city while emphasizing the artistic and cultural value of natural stone alongside its role in global trade. Sculptures produced during the workshop will be exhibited throughout Marble İzmir and will subsequently be placed in various public spaces across the city, strengthening the presence of marble in everyday urban environments.
This approach will reinforce Marble İzmir’s position as a multi-dimensional platform that brings together trade, culture and the artistic potential of natural stone.
“WE WILL CONTINUE TO CARRY THE GLOBAL STRENGTH OF THE SECTOR FROM IZMIR TO THE WORLD”
Emphasizing that Marble İzmir will continue to be the international meeting point of the natural stone industry in its 31st edition, İZFAŞ General Manager Tuğçe Cumalıoğlu stated: “With more than 30 years of history, Marble İzmir has become a major organization that brings together producers, exporters, technology developers, architects and designers on the same platform. Our fair is not only Türkiye’s fair, but one that belongs to the entire sector. The cooperation we have established this year with the Confindustria Marmomacchine will further strengthen international interaction. B2B meetings to be held with participants, professional visitors and buyer delegations from many countries - from Europe to Asia, from America to Africa - will offer new trade opportunities to our companies. In addition to trade, Marble İzmir will continue to be a center where innovation, sustainability and design are discussed. In our 31st edition, we will continue to carry the global strength of the sector from İzmir to the world”.
